I have been using my current kubuntu installation for many months already and I never had a problem with my nvidia driver settings except today. From no apparent reason I have started my linux box and my default and maximum resolution was 1024×768 instead my standard 1680×1050. If you do not wish to use konqueror as a default web browser for your other KDE 4 applications you can choose for example firefox. To do so navigate:
KDE -> COMPUTER -> ( Applications ) System Settings -> Default Applications -> WebBrowser -> tick in the following browser and type “firefox” -> Click apply

Here is a small howto print to a PDF file using KDE and firefox. First we need to install cups PDF support:
apt-get install cups-pdf
Then navigate you with mouse to:
KDE -> Control Center -> Select Peripherals -> Printers
From here we need to add new printer click on:
ADD -> Add Printer/Class ( do not select Add [...]
